My home base is Albany California, but I have travelled to locations all around the San Francisco Bay Area, from Santa Rosa to San Jose and Palo Alto to Livermore to service photography clients.
Process
Because a shallow depth of field is used for most headshots, (a blurry background) the light, color and shapes in the background are more important than specific details. A background that enhances a portrait has appealing variations in structure, light and color. An easy way to find an interesting one is to squint and see if you still like the resulting blurry image.
An appealing portrait can be done in a hallway, on a balcony, in an open portion of your office, a shaded outdoor space next to a wall, or a sidewalk with brightly colored nearby foliage.
Editing
Typical editing involves color and contrast adjustment, blemish removal, background adjustment (but not replacement), small object deletion, flyaway and lint removal and small expression changes.
Proofs can be available the same day or within 24 hours. Once a final image is selected, an edited image can be delivered. the same day.
